Persyst ICU Continuous Monitoring provides the most comprehensive collection of features for continuous EEG monitoring, allowing neurologists, neurointensivists and technicians to quickly detect non-convulsive seizures and other clinically important changes in the EEG as they are occurring. ICU Continuous Monitoring provides Trending and on-line seizure detection and continuous EEG trending. Records are processed as they are being acquired with trends and detections updated in real time. Channels are automatically monitored for electrode artifacts, which are removed from seizure and trend processing. Electrodes, which have persistent electrical artifacts, are indicated to alert staff to the need for correction, resulting in cleaner recordings.

Persyst ICU Continuous Monitoring includes all of the features of Persyst Long-Term Monitoring, making it ideal for environments where equipment is used across the EMU and ICU.

The Persyst Seizure Detector simulates the way that human reviewers scan for seizure patterns. It takes input from the Rhythmicity Spectrograms as well as a number of other factors in order to spot the kind of changes that represent seizure activity.

Persyst EMU Long-Term Monitoring is specifically designed for the needs of Epilepsy Monitoring Units. Designed to run as an integrated part of your EEG acquisition system it includes our advanced Seizure Detection to help you quickly find seizures in long-term recordings. Spike Detection and Review helps to quickly identify sharps and spikes present in the record… Persyst Artifact Reduction provides push button removal of EMG as well as eye movements. Near real time Seizure Detection and notification can also be used as a supplement to patient events, and monitoring of raw EEG data in order to enhance patient safety.

Note: The EMU Long-Term Monitoring product does not include Trending. The ICU Continuous monitoring product should be purchased in Trending is a requirement.

Persyst constantly monitors electrode signal quality. A display notification indicates when quality has dropped on an electrode. In addition Artifact Reduction removes the low quality signal from Trending and Detection to reduce artifact and false positives.

Complete review of a twenty-four hour EEG record can take a considerable amount of time. By processing the record with Persyst during acquisition major features of the record including detected seizures and spikes are available immediately. This can provide early insight to your medical team,

and reduce pressure on the timing of the manual review process. By removing EMG Artifact Reduction can make features of the EEG such as seizure onset much easier to interpret.

Persyst Seizure Detection can reduce the rate of missed seizures during monitoring potentially reducing patient stays and enhancing safety.

Persyst Clinical Review provides comprehensive monitoring and review of Trends, Seizure Detections and Spike Detections in a previously processed EEG record. Clinical Review is integrated with the review software provided by your EEG platform supplier, and synchronizes with the EEG display.

Clinical Review is the companion to the EMU Long-Term Monitoring and ICU Continuous Monitoring packages for the monitoring and offline review of processed recordings.

Note: Clinical Review does not provide any processing capabilities. It can only be used to review previously processed records.

Persyst Advanced Review provides a comprehensive universal EEG review capability. Using Advanced Review you can open virtually all commercial EEG formats. Regardless of the acquisition system where the recording was made Advanced Review provides a standard, easy to use interface for reviewing EEG wave forms. Trends, seizure detections, and spike detections that have been previously processed by Persyst acquisition products are available instantly. In addition Advanced Review provides the ability to do trending and detection on records that have not been previously processed. This can be important for records received from other institutions, or for records acquired on older equipment where Persyst acquisition software may not be available.

Note: Advanced Review cannot process records that are currently being acquired. Purchase one of the acquisition products if this is a requirement.

Advanced Review also offers additional features including advanced frequency and voltage analysis as well as the ability to archive EEG and supported video formats. Advanced review also provides the ability to export EEG analysis data for use in other applications.

Persyst Advanced Review provides the most comprehensive array of detection, review and analysis tools ever assembled.

Routine and Ambulatory is used to determine the presence of electrographic seizures and interictal spikes in routine and ambulatory EEG recordings. Unequalled seizure detection sensitivity and the lowest false positive rate of any detector create a concise list of seizure candidates. Rapid review of any spike events that have been detected completes the process. Electrode artifacts are automatically detected and removed prior to calculating seizure probability or trends.

Continuous EEG (cEEG) monitoring allows unprecedented clinical insights into the brain function of your critically ill patients, but it’s also created problems. How can you efficiently follow so many simultaneous cEEG recordings? Currently, this often involves a monitoring room containing dedicated computers and displays for each patient. Users need to manually open records on each system as monitoring begins and then move between systems in order to do monitoring and detailed review. Just setting up, maintaining, and running one such facility is difficult. Complicating monitoring further, there are usually no similar capabilities at satellite sites.

Persyst Multi-Patient Monitor (MPM) solves these challenges.

Through the use of a highly optimized grid showing ongoing cEEG recordings, Persyst MPM makes maximum use of screen real estate. It provides an effective overview of many simultaneous recordings in a single glance. If you see something of interest, with one click you can zoom in on a single record for detailed review. Another click and you’re back to multi-patient view.

The cEEG trends displayed for each patient are user-selectable and the EEG waveforms can also be displayed. MPM can be configured to automatically open new recordings as they arise, either by placing these in a specified grid cell or in the next available grid position. Users can also manually select records for monitoring using the Persyst database. Dual monitors are supported, allowing display of a large number of active studies. MPM via Citrix server is supported, so MPM monitoring can be performed wherever a suitably configured Citrix station is located. And, as with every Persyst product, almost every EEG manufacturer’s system is supported, so MPM works seamlessly in hospitals using different varieties of EEG machine.
